Delightfully, I have some new poems in the latest issue of Auckland-based poetry journal, Minarets. The Autumn issue - issue six - was released this past May and is teeming full of talented New Zealand poets and a couple of us from the overseas contingent. I feel awkwardly in very esteemed company. I have a set of three poems that weave together and are a touch experimental in this issue of the journal. They are part of a wider collection I have been working on. Do check out the latest issue of Minarets - it is a wonderfully diverse poetry journal.

Wonderful to see this post! Congratulations -- good company indeed. I love your small trio of poems, the way the fit together and build to those last words on those last lines -- fallow fellow furrow gallow hallow. And the send of before/ after and then something else entirely. Wonderful. And so imaginative.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the very kind words, Michelle; your support is much appreciated! The trio is a bit more experimental for me, but I was pleased post-writing with how they came together and spoke to each other. I long to find another banana passionfruit vine or seeds! My grandmother had one and, wow, was it delicious.
