It has been a busy week with deadlines and moving, so my Tuesday Poem efforts have languished. This is the view I have been contemplating with morning coffee while reading the rich array of poems. In lieu of a Tuesday Poem, here are links to three poems that spoke to me.
Sarah Jane Barnett's Statues
Lately, I, too, have been voyeuristically engaging in the same practice of watching life bubble around me from my (writing desk) window.
Emma Neale's Polemic, chosen by Jennifer Compton
I want to read this over several times - a feeling that I relish. This poem does what I can't do. I heartily admire its sweep and ability to encompass.
Paula Morris' Where, chosen by Renee Liang
The sentiments behind this poem - of living elsewhere and that constant question of 'where' - unfailingly hits home.
